From Gus & Bear walk left out of the car park past the church for 300m along the Congleton A34 road. Immediately after crossing Chapel Brook you reach a footpath sign on your left. Turn left along the drive and through the double gates on the left. Cross diagonally a small field to a stile in the centre of the hedge. Keeping the hedge on your right continue to the field corner. Carry straight across the field in the same direction to Cocksmoss Lane. Go over the stile and turn left along the Cocksmoss lane. After 300m at the footpath sign turn into the lane on the left and carry on to lower Mutlow farm.
Go through the farmyard (all dogs must be kept on leads) and bear right through a gate following the gravel track with views of Bosley Cloud and Mow Cop. Arriving at a T-junction with a cattle gride, turn left skirting Black Wood. Turn left just before the drive to Higher Mutlow Farm. Follow the footpath sign through a gate, by the side of a tall hawthorn hedge to another gate. Round the end of the farm turn left after passing passing through a third gate. Walk by a fence then a hedge until reaching a gate with a stile. Turn left and carry on until a bridge crossing Chapel Brook. Continue uphill to Great Tidnock Farm and following the signs turn left through the farmyard. Follow this track, through Martonheath Wood and past Pikelow trout pools and fruit farm until you join Marton Lane. Turn left down the lane towards Marton village. The Church Spire will soon be visible. At Marton school, turn left into Oak Lane. Follow the lane to it's junction with the A34 and turn left towards the Gus & Bear car park.

From Gus & Bear walk left out of the car park and walk down to the Church, cross the road (be very careful when crossing the road) and go over the stile opposite Marton Church. As for the Village walk, walk to Bruce lane but then turn left along the lane. After about 280m take the path to the right over the stile and into the field. Follow the fence and then the hedge on your right to a stile. Go across 50m or so to a stile in the centre of the fence under a tree. The next stile is diagonally across in the centre of the wire fence. Continue diagonally to a stile in the far corner of the field. Over a stile with a pond on your right, bear left at Sandpit Farm buildings and go down the drive to Messuage Lane. Turn right down the lane to Keepers Cottage at the junction with Hodgehill Lane.
Turn right again with Marton village pond on your left. Walk up the lane, passing Fern Farm as far as the entrance to Daisybank Farm. Take the path opposite through a metal gate. Bear right at a copse and over a stile. Follow the path almost diagonally to the corner of the field cross the stile and keeping fence and a hedge on your right, pass a pond on your left before reaching Davenport Lane. Turn right and follow the lane to the A34. Turn right back on to Congleton Road and continue back to where you started the walk.

Turning left out of the Gus & Bear car park walk down to the Church and carefully cross the road to the stile on the other side opposite the Church. Cross the field to the stile in the corner. Turn right along Bruce lane (The Pond Walk turns left here). Pass Primrose Cottage on your right, continue to the A34 Congleton Road. Cross very carefully over the A34 road and turn left down the narrow footpath. Soon after passing Davenport Lane and Bank Farm on the left, turn right into a field and cross to a hollybush. Keep along the hawthorn hedge and turn right at the line of oak trees and pass under them to a stile in the corner. Straight ahead are two more stiles before reaching the drive of Mere Farm.
Continue down the drive to School Lane. Turn right and shortly left down Oak Lane. Turn left onto the A34 and walk down the road past Pesto to your starting point.
