Privacy Policy and Data Protection

The only personal information we collect is when you place an order. Gus & Bear does not disclose any information on its customer's to any third party. The only party beyond Gus & Bear is the courier company's we use to delivery online purchases. You will only ever be sent emails containing order information. We will only send you additional emails if you have opted to receive them. These emails will be promoting services and products offered by Gus & Bear. The information about you which we retain is: Your name, address, telephone number and details or your orders. We do not hold any credit card details as this is all processed online using Stripe and Paypal. Any information we hold on you will always be current and precise. Should you find any inaccuracies in our database please do let us know and we can amend it immediately. You can choose to unsubscribe from our email list at any time using the link at the bottom of the email.

Grooming Data Protection

As part of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), it is now necessary for Gus & Bear to inform you of the information we hold about you and your dog and how is it used and stored.

The following information is stored on a Dog Grooming Record Card:

Details you have given about your dog, your name, contact number and veterinary practice.
Details of what we have done to your dog as part of their groom, such as, blade length used, where we have used scissors, nails trimmed etc.
Any likes or dislikes your dog has for example sensitive feet, likes cuddles etc.
Your dogs grooming temperament- good, nervous, easy, hard, requires two groomers, bites, soils etc.
Any lumps, bumps or cuts found.

All Dog Grooming Cards are kept as a hard copy and are securely kept and locked away each night. You can ask to view your card at any time. Your dogs name and your contact number are entered into the Gus & Bear mobile phone and our electronic booking system so we can communicate with you regarding appointments and to advise you when your dog is ready for collection following their groom. No other details are held on the Gus & Bear mobile phone or electronic booking system and both are password protected.

If you move, you are welcome to take your card with you and give it to your new groomer or you can request Gus & Bear to destroy the information we hold on your dog at any time. Any non-returning customer cards will be shredded as confidential waste within 3 years.

You will be asked if you would like to received our news letter with offers and promotions, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of the email.

ID Tag Information

Red Dingo ID Tag engraving ordered in store as a hard copy form contains: your name, address, email address and phone number. This information is kept securely for 1 month after your tag has been order and is then shredded as confidential waste. You will receive an email conformation of your order from Red Dingo along with updates on engraving.

For online ID tag orders, your information is stored on our secure online system which is password protected. You will receive an email conformation of your order from Red Dingo along with updates on engraving.

Your information is also kept electronically on the Red Dingo electronic order form for your ID tag engraving, this information is password protected.
